Holiday Programs
During the holiday season, we understand how challenging it can be to provide food and gifts for yourself and your family. It can also be an emotional time as we remember loved ones we have lost.

Holiday Bureau
The Gabriola Holiday Bureau is open to all Gabriola residents who are registered with the PHC Grocery Program.

Holiday Bureau support can be picked up at PHC on Tuesday, December 16th and Thursday, December 19th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

To register, please click the “Register Now” button below.
Fire Fighter Toy Drive
Every year, the Gabriola Fire Department organizes a Toy Drive to collect donations from our community. Clearly marked drop-off totes are placed around the island, where community members can donate new toys. All donations are given to People for a Healthy Community (PHC) for distribution to families in need.

If your family could use support with holiday gifts this season, please "Register Now". To learn more about the most-needed toys for kids this year, please click “Learn More”.

Remembrance Tree
The Remembrance Tree—a project of PHC—honours the lives of loved ones who are no longer with us. The holiday season can be a tender time, as we especially feel the absence of those we’ve lost.

You are invited to take part by writing the names of friends and loved ones on paper leaves and placing them on the tree. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Gabriola Library for providing this welcoming space, where both children and adults can come together to remember and reflect.

You can take part in this project at the Gabriola Library throughout the month of December during regular hours.
