We had a bushel of fun at Apple Day this year
Gabriola Elementary students celebrated the 6th Annual Apple Day on October 10th, 2025, with hands-on activities focused on local apples and harvest time. Organized by Morgan Klassen and Rachel Dubois of People for a Healthy Community (PHC), students rotated through stations to juice apples with Betty Kehler for their hot lunch next week, make apple cinnamon oatmeal cookies with Island Health’s Laura Correia Dias and Sakura Rashidi, and prepare apples for dehydration and ap
