About the event

BIO: Bert is a soldier, sailor, adventurer, and serial entrepreneur. He is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society and the Explorer in Residence for the BC Historical Society. He is an internationally acclaimed sailor, and most recently, paddler. Bert is only the 9th person in the world to complete a solo, non-stop circumnavigation using only traditional navigational tools, and the first person to paddle solo across Canada in a single season using only maps and a compass.
