Ravenskill Orchards Harvest Initiative – A Huge Success!

As Ravenskill Orchards wraps up the first year of the Ravenskill Orchards Harvest Initiative, Caitlin Barker from Ravenskill shared with us the inspiring results of this collective effort. Thanks to the generosity of our community and the support of local donors, a total of $10,968 was raised for Gabriola Island charities.

The contributions were distributed as follows:

• GaLLT (Gabriola Land & Trails Trust): $1,010

• PHC (People for a Healthy Community): $7,209

• Gabriola Lions Club: $2,749

As Caitlin Barker shared, “This initiative truly embodied the community spirit we hoped it would — turning unwanted apples into meaningful support for organizations that make such a difference here on Gabriola.”

We at PHC are deeply grateful for this generous contribution. $7,209 is no small chunk of change, and we will use it wisely to continue supporting programs that strengthen our community.
