About the event
Join us for an interactive workshop on non-operative strategies for knee and hip osteoarthritis. Co-presented by physiotherapists Nadine Plotnikoff and Darcy Boulton, this workshop will cover what osteoarthritis is, its symptoms, and who may be vulnerable to it. Our presenters will help bust commonly-held myths about OA, share current knowledge supported by evidence, discuss the role (or not) of x-rays in diagnosis, provide exercise tips, and more.
BIO: Nadine has been a physiotherapist for 31 years, graduating from UBC’s School of Rehabilitation Sciences in 1991. Nadine accompanied Wrestling Canada to the Beijing Summer Olympics in 2008 as their physiotherapist and also served in a lead medical role in the 2010 Winter Olympics for the Womens’ Ice Hockey Tournament. Nadine is a co-owner of a small private practice clinic, and in recent years she has shifted her focus to treating individuals living with hip or knee osteoarthritis.
