Working within a complex and ever-changing social service environment with staff and a large volunteer base, the Food Programs Coordinator provides leadership, planning,management, and evaluation of all food programs within PHC. The position requires the ability to understand and support diverse populations, often experiencing complex challenges. The position also requires an understanding of food security and its connection to other areas of individual and community health, within a social determinants of health model. The role and responsibilities may shift based on prioritized needs.
These programs include, but are not limited to, Grocery Program (Food Bank), Soup Socials/Frozen Meals, Food Recovery, Community Garden, GES garden program, GES school Snack and Lunch program, GES Hot Lunch Program, Farmers’ Market Coupon Program, Food Skills programs and Seasonal Events.
