Reporting to the Seniors Program Coordinator, the cook is responsible for planning menus that are nutritious and senior friendly staying within a budget. The cook will keep electronic records of the menus, along with associated e-order lists. The cook will arrange for the purchase of the ingredients and planning the preparation and cooking of the meals. Maintaining a Food Safe environment and adhering to Health and Safety protocols while creating a respectful team environment. Coordinate/communicate with other team members including the Hot Lunch school team working together to achieve more efficiencies.
During COVID the job is now focused on meal preparation and delivery with no serving.
